1500s

                                             episode eight

1500s

In this episode we look into my favourite century of British history.

We meet the fantastic Henry VIII, and take a quick trip through the adventure of his love-life, explore some of the groundbreaking changes he made to the country and the legacy he left behind him.

We meet the two Marys; Mary Queen of Scots the six day old Queen, and Bloody Mary of England, who got her nickname for good reason.

In the second part of the century we enter the Elizabethan era, and see the beginning of what would be described as England's Renaissance, with the explosion of the arts, theatre, music and a global push for adventure.
