1100s

                                             episode four

1100s

In this episode we examine the 1100s, or the twelfth century. We see the beginning of the end of the House of Normandy, and the first introduction of the Plantagenet line of kings.

We meet the great King Richard The Lionheart, and his brother and successor, John Lackland, and their troubles both in England and overseas.

The sinking of the White Ship, the siege of Nottingham castle, and the beginnings of centuries of war with the French, it's all packed into a wild century of English history.
