1200s

                                             episode five

1200s

In this episode we take a look at the fascinating 1200s.

Decades of war in Normandy, leading to huge unrest amongst the ruling barons of the land led to great reforms and the creation of the Magna Carta.

Crown jewels lost in quicksand, the First Barons' War, the formation of the real true Parliament, and the crowning of a nine-year-old as king of all England, the thirteenth century had it all, and as usual was packed with warfare and bloodshed.
